When you’re lacking a superb mug of beer in Rome, head to Bir e Fud in Trastevere. Of the places I’ve been to in Nigeria, my favorite journey destination so far is cool mountainous Ire in Ekiti State. I appreciated its serenity, it is a fantastic place to put in writing. My favourite travel vacation spot in Africa, to this point is Kenya. Anyone who is aware of me, is aware of I like contrasts and Kenya is like East Africa in microcosm. I like the distinction of the forests and open plains; the freshwater lakes and coral reefs; the hustle and bustle of Nairobi and the colourful tribal cultures. Seeing the beautiful wildlife was simply breathtaking. And then there’s the Carnivore Restaurant that put a smile on this food adventurer’s face because, not only was the meals great, but in addition, the waiters put on fun theatrical displays while serving.

Well over the Christmas break I made a decision to explore the mostly unknown but up and coming area of Pranburi and I used to be actually amazed by what I discovered. Pranburi is a couple of 45 minute drive from certainly one of my favourite seashore cities and well-liked weekend getaways for Bangkok locals, Hua Hin.
