March Knit Nite Pajama Party!

Our March Knit Nite was a HUGE success thanks to all those wonderful customers who came prepared to have fun! A big thank you goes out to Georgia (The Yarn Pirate) and her sister Libbie (the photographer) for their contribution to the evenings success. And let's not forget Mary and Pattie - they coordinate the wristband project and are responsible for getting all the great donations!!

Woman's Health Fair

Our Health Fair was a HUGE success!! Over 20 women had their mammograms, thanks to the Swedish Breast Express! This is such a fantastic program. We would like to thank the Komen Foundation for their contribution to the program that allowed the Express to come to our neighborhood.

We would also like to thank all those customers who helped us make the wristbands that were handed out to some of the walkers on the Breast Cancer Walk. We had almost 100 wristbands! A special thanks goes out to Mary and Pattie who made 38 wristbands! Since there are upwards of 3,000 walkers that participate each year, we figure that we need to get started NOW to get ready for next year. We would also like to make some for the walkers and runners that participate in the Swedish Summer Run for Ovarian Cancer research. We'll get working on that right away so you'll have lots of time to knit those wristbands!
